Art in the Park Festival : Found in KL

Themed “Found in KL”, the festival was presented by Cult Sdn Bhd in collaboration with DBKL and Think City Sdn Bhd. The objective of the festival was to bring contemporary art and sculptures into Kuala Lumpur’s green spaces, hence making art more accessible to the general public. The sculptures were curated by Suryani Senja Alias. In conjunction with the sculptures, Pang Khee Teik and his team at The Special Bunch were invited to curate and execute programmes and activities to attract visitors to the Perdana Botanic Gardens during the duration of the festival. A series of talks about culture, workshops for dance and writing, and traditional art performances were specially designed for the Perdana Botanical Gardens and the participating spaces surrounding the gardens such as the Islamic Arts Museum and the Bank Negara Museum and Gallery.
