2nd Malaysia Roadshows
Showcasing Lun Dayeh people of Long Pasia, Sabah

The common notion of Malaysians consisting of 3 major races (Malay, Chinese, Indian) ignores the diversity of our ethnic groups, especially in East Malaysia.

The common notion of Malaysians consisting of 3 major races (Malay, Chinese, Indian) ignores the diversity of our ethnic groups, especially in East Malaysia. Ignorance somehow led to marginalization – arising from loss of lands to logging, plantations, dams, etc., by these marginalized groups.

Their rich cultures may be lost irreversibly if there is no re-evaluation by fellow Malaysians, especially Malaysians in urban areas, of how these Malaysians (often categorized as “Yang Lain-Lain / Others” in official forms) fit in under the Malaysia sun.
