52nd Graduation Thesis Design – Summer Show – Series of Lectures – Collective Consciousness Art
The design students of the 52nd Architecture Department of CYCU focused on the once prosperous but now desolated Da Guan Garden located in the Zhong Li District in Taoyuan City, Taiwan.
Taking the opportunity of their graduation exhibition, the students intervened by cleaning up the site, removing the garbage, and reconnecting with water and electricity supply. They also initiated the conversation with the residents of its nostalgic past and invited them to participate in activities.
The hope is to re-establish relationships with the local residents and allow more people to start paying attention again back to this old community.
