DECAGON
A Group Exhibition
This exhibition put together a collective of recent Fine Art graduates from Dasein Academy of Art. It includes works in different subject matters and disciplinary including painting, sculpture, drawing, mixed media, installation, performance and video.
Ten artists are selected to take part in this exhibition.
The title of the exhibition is called Decagon where it suggests a diversity use of mediums and artists’ views in contemporary context.
The word Decagon derives from the name of a geometrical shape that contains ten facets facing ten different directions in one unit. For our exhibition, each facet implies the worldview and subject matter of each artist which include personal emotion, food and dietary, spirit of the third dimension, hand gestures, invisible lines, urban landscapes, human nature, sexual orientation, love, isolation and desire etc.
The exhibition intended to provide the audience fresh artistic views and visual language in contemporary art making. It explores the life and opinions of the new generation through a mixed bag of subject matters.
