Odyssey
A Group Exhibition Showcasing the work of Six Emerging Women Artist
The word Odyssey is taken from an epic poem written by ancient the Greek poet, Homer. The poem illustrates the story of warrior Odysseus’ ten-year journey home from Troy. Ever since then, the term ‘Odyssey’ has been used to describe any long, epic journey, be it literal or figurative.
Odyssey is a celebration of the artists’ differences. It comprises of paintings and mixed media centred on self-discovery, surrealism, religion, culture and observations on reality. This show is meant to wrap up their journey together as they each go their separate ways and onto the next chapter of their lives. The exhibition displays a variety of expressive style and subject matters.
