Artist
A world music percussionist and visual artist, Si Jie Loo explores her experiences of dance and rhythm through lines and colors. She is interested in “transcribing” rhythms and sounds from the audio to the visual. For her, rhythms carry the soul of the land and the energy of its habitants. Drawing sounds from the distant regions of West Africa, East Asia and the Middle East, she hopes viewers will feel the streams and pulses that inspire her works.
